By the time I ended up at Community and Family Recourses I had lost everything to methamphetamine. My business went broke, my home was being foreclosed on, and the cars were being repossessed. I lost custody of my children and my family was in shambles. I had tried countless times to stop using meth but I just couldn't seem to shake it. I knew what was happening to me but I kept telling myself "this will be the last time I'm gonna stop tomorrow." I come to a point where I couldn't get out of bed if I didn't have it. Thank God for my younger sister Shelly, she had had enough and had me committed to treatment. I spent 3 days in Detox and 28 day in impatient treatment from there I went to the Men's Recovery House for 6 months. I needed to find a new way to live and CFR was very helpful in all aspects of my recovery. The staff was awesome, they cared about my recovery. I'm forever grateful for the support they showed me. It's been a long road but it's worth all the hard work. I just celebrated 4 years clean. My family has been restored and we are closer than ever. I've returned to college and plan to become a Substance Abuse Counselor with the same treatment center that saved my life. My life has been restored and is better than I ever imagined it could be. People can change and addiction can be overcome I am living proof. Thank you CFR.
